The Devil’s Marbles

Karlu Karlu or The Devil’s Marbles Conservation Reserve is one of those places that makes you question how on earth such a formation came to be.

Consisting of many granite boulders, the ‘marbles’ appear precariously balanced on one another due to thousands of years of erosion.

While I wouldn’t say this site is a must-see necessarily, it makes for a pretty cool stop and change in the desert scenery while you’re driving down/up the Stuart Highway.

So if you’re road tripping through the NT and are anywhere near Tennant Creek, check it out!
